CEOE Participates in the Algiers International Fair (FIA) 2026
CEOE participated in the Algiers International Fair (FIA) 2026 on June 22 and 23, 2026.
In this 57th edition of the FIA, where Spain was the guest of honor country and which was inaugurated by the President of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, CEOE was present with a stand in the Spanish pavilion. As part of the event, CEOE also took part in a business meeting alongside the Ambassador of Spain, Ramiro Fernández, and the President of CREA, Kamel Moula, which marked the opening of the cycle of conferences organized by the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Algiers.
Additionally, the proximity between Spain and Algeria was highlighted as a strategic advantage, alongside the improvement of the business climate in the country, the growth of its market, and its projection toward the African continent.
Furthermore, CEOE and CREA held a bilateral meeting where they analyzed future lines of work and joint activities to undertake together.
Algeria is Spain’s second-largest customer and supplier in Africa. In 2025, Spanish exports to Algeria reached 2,133.48 million euros, while imports reached 6,296.12 million euros.
For its part, the stock of Spanish investment in Algeria in 2024 stood at 1,377.69 million euros, making it the second-largest destination for Spanish investment in Africa. At the same time, the stock of Algerian investment in Spain was 310.82 million euros, ranking as the third-largest investor in Spain among African nations.
